How to get Slash's Sweet Child o' Mine tone (or as close as possible)?
Using a Bogner Alchemist Series 212 40W, a Gibson Les Paul Traditional Pro and a Dunlop Slash signature crybaby wah/distortion pedal. I thought the pedal would be the trick but I'm just not getting it.

Slash used JCM's or modded Plexis I think? The trick is, he used low output pickups, and let the amp overdrive do all the tone-work.
Looking up the specs on your amp, I would think hit the "punch" switch on channel 2 for a more British tone. Use lots of mids, a little punch of treble, and a small amount of bass, and some reverb.
Try these settings (in o' clock), and fiddle around from there. Slash's tone is tricky on that song. it's wayyyyy smooth and fluid.
bass - between 12:00-12:30
mids - 4:00
treble - between 1:00 and 2:00
reverb: about 8:00 or 9:00
