Callaway FT-i Driver Review

The Callaway FT-i Driver takes a very big step in combining materials and technology to build a driver that has a very unique square shape and it now prevails on the golf wholesale market. The large rectangular square shape of the crown with its tapered design will make any golfer confident that you'll hit a nice shot, plus the alignment arrow makes it a breeze to aim.

 

When you first look at it, you think because of the square shape, it would weigh a lot. What the Callaway engineers did is utilize a Carbon Composite Body for the clubhead, which took over 10 years to perfect.

 

The Callaway FT-i driver has a square head with full carbon body technology meaning extra weight savings over a titanium head. By using a lightweight carbon body that weighs only 42g, the Callaway FT-i has been able to push as much weight as possible into the far corners of the head, dramatically increasing the club's ability to resist twisting on off-centre hits and thus increase the Moment of Inertia (MOI) for straighter drives. The Callaway FT-i's square shape allows weight to be located outside the weighting zone of a traditional driver. With help from designers at BMW, Callaway were able to make this radical complex clubhead look appealing by merging the crown into the back of the club head like a car bonnet. The Callaway FT-i driver face actually twists on two axes when shots are hit, so by controlling the amount the club rotates around its centre of gravity, Callaway produced an extremely robust head. Extra weight is also located in the heel, to help square the face at impact. This means that shots that are hit away from the centre of the clubface still go straight.

 

Callaway FT-i driver is right now not expensive on golf wholesale market and is best suited to mid to high handicappers who have trouble getting their drives going straight and therefore need all this forgiveness. If this is you then this is probably the best square driver out there at present.

How do I remove the sticker goo off the back of my Fender Stratocaster's neck without ruining it?

Apparently the person I bought this guitar from thought it would be a good idea to slap a sticker on the back of the neck... The goo makes it very difficult to play it obviously since its on the neck. Also, if anyone can tell me how to remove sticker goo of the body of the guitar? Not as interested in removal of the sticker goo from the body since it doesnt effect my playing. Any answers appreciated. Thanks.

i work at at the local music store and we get used guitars that i need to clean up all the time.

i'd recommend a bottle of stuff called "goo-gone". its kinda yellowish / orange and it smells like citrus fruits. it does a REALLY good job with that, just drop some on the sticky spot and rub it around with your finger and it'll come off.

i used it the other day to take a green day sticker off a guitar and a strip of velcro from the bottom of a vox wah pedal. it took less than 10 minutes for the both of them and you'd never know there was ever a sticker on there.
