why arent the pick ups in my guitar working?

I have a Schecter Omen 6 diamond series. and we attempted to remove the default bridge pick up and install a Seymour Duncan Distortion humbucker where the bridge pick up used to be. however we are unsure of whether or not we soldered it correctly since the bridge setting is significantly lacking in volume than the neck setting. anyone got any ideas on the problem since it doesn't make any sense. wire configurations?
