help with drop c tuning and chromatic tuner?

ok i have a guitar professor tuner that i think is chromatic because it has the lcd screen or w/e.
i know how to tune a guitar lol ive been playing for 3 years and for some reason i dont think this one will show any of the other tones for the strings. when i tune down the low e it says drop d then goes to b. theres no c in between. also when i try to drop the other strings only 2 of them work. when i try to tune the others down, the tone it should be at is skipped basically.
someone please help. i want to play this a day to remember song.

I would bet that is not a chromatic tuner.

A chromatic tuner will register any frequency: A A# B C C# etc.

A guitar tuner only picks up the frequencies associated with standard tuning on guitars: E B G D & A

so as you tune down your low E string it picks up the E, then the D, doesn't know what's going on with C and finally catches up with the B.

Also remember that your guitar will get used to being in one tuning. So if you are usually tuned to E your strings will have a hard time maintaining proper tension for a lower tuning and will in turn be hard pressed to hold the desired pitch. And when you change tuning or string gauge it changes the amount of tension on the guitar neck and can cause these tuning problems aside from other adverse effects like string buzz etc.

or you might just need new batteries in your tuner.
