Cooking a pot roast without a slow cooker?

I bought a beef roast kit with a chuck roast cut and some veggies and seasoning. I didn't read the directions to cook it in a slow cooker for 10 hrs on low! So now I'm cooking it in my dutch oven pot.
I braised the meat and stuck it in the oven, the directions for the oven are 3-4 hrs at 350*.
Will it cook faster if I cut the meat into smaller chunks?

Wait! It's going to burn if you leave it in there at 350. Lower it to 300 and cook it for 4 hours.
