Difficult to solder on shell of DPDT mini toggle switch?

Always, it is difficult to solder on the metal shell of a DPDT mini toggle switch for the grounding purpose. Is there any method to make it easier to do that?

Yes, there is. Sand clean a small portion of the switch
metal housing and solder a ground wire to same. You
may find that this will not be easy, because the switch
housing must be heated enough to melt the solder being
used. Don't over heat the housing, or you will damage
the switch. Cool the switch right after you solder it with
a damp rag. Move the switch back and forth to insure that
it didn't seize up on you. Some Guitar Factories use a
washer with a solder tab on it for the grounding of the
potentiometers, pickups and switches being used. This
has been not very effective because of vibration even under
casual use. Examine the workings as you remove the pic
guard assembly. Note how the back of the potentiometers
have been sanded in order to take solder to them to obtain
a solid ground. The output signal from an Electric Guitar is
very small and can easily become distorted. Grounding all
of the controls as solid as possible is very important, unless
you enjoy the embarrassment of feedback and the loud hum
generated when you touch the end of the Amplifier input
cord tip (for example). As a veteran Audio Technician for
many bands back in the day, this is the best advice I could
give you. I normally charge over $80.00 an hour for this kind
of service. I have always been very kind about the advice
