Easy Metal Songs - Metal Guitar Tunes For Beginners

Playing metal guitar has gained the reputation of producing outstanding guitarists. As a guitarist, if you learn metal, you'll be taking your skills to a whole new level with technique, speed, and rhythm.

The only problem is that most of the material that's popular for radio and television is way to extreme for a beginning guitarist. However, here's a list of easy metal songs that are a good starting place for early guitar players.

1. "A Boy Brushed Red Living in Black and White" by Underoath

Some people argue this song as metal while others argue this as hardcore or screamo, but the point is that it's part of the heavy music genre. By learning this song, you can gain a better practice of chord structure, progressions, and palm-muted sections.

2. "Iron Man" by Black Sabbath

This song goes a little more classic, but you can't go wrong with a little Ozzy Osbourne. This easy metal song teaches about simple rhythm, tone, and stylistic features that make the song desirable to listen to.

3. "Hells Bells" by AC/DC

Again, we're going with another classic, but AC/DC has sculpted the way heavy music has been written and performed for decades. You'll learn a little more technical picking, strumming patterns, and chord changes from this guitar tune.

4. "In Your Face" by Children of Bodom

Children of Bodom produce easy metal songs sometimes and this one can be added to the list. Right from the very beginning, you'll get a lesson in remembering rhythms and keeping strong palm mutes for a heavy sound.

There are literally hundreds of other metal tunes that are probably very easy to learn besides the few here. Open your mind and find some heavy songs that will motivate you to improve your technical skill.

Whats the best Metal/Rock electric guitar for 180 or less?

Hi I'm deciding whether to play the drums or electric guitar but the metal/rock drum set is out of my range of pay and I want to learn how to play guitar. So the band I wish to play the most on my guitar is Metallica but any rock/metal guitar for 180 or less will be fine. Any answers?

You'll probably need an amp as well if you want an electric, which are just as expensive as the guitar.
