Wrong strings for my guitar? Or bad stringing?

I recently bought my first set of guitar strings after my old ones rusted out and i bought a set of strings at guitar center. The strings are a set of Elixir ultra thin nanoweb .01-.046. Every time put these strings on, i always get a very bad buzz when i strum the strings. Can someone guide me on how to install these strings properly or do i got the wrong strings. (F.Y.I am a beginner and my guitar is a Samick Greg Bennet Fastback)

OK. so if its an acoustic the strings will be alot heavier than an electric. Acoustic strings look similiar to classical strings except the fact that the bottom three strings on a classical are white. It should go from grey to bronze (bottom to top) in order of size. As for the buzzing, at the top of the neck is where thats coming from. I haven't tried this but i have heard it works. At the top of the neck you will see plastic going across and the re will be little slits in it where the strings are laying. Insert a little piece of paper under each string.

I haven't tried it but its worth a try
