From your description, it sounds like the girls should be all over you. I'm guessing you must be either really shy or have some sort of personality issue going on. Desperation drives girls away.

Anyway, I would recommend coffee shops and bookstores to find girls in the same educational league (so to speak) as yourself. I've never had luck with guys there, but I keep trying.
