Where can I find turquoise valve caps for my bach strat?
I really want either turquoise or abalone valve caps for my Bach Stradivarius trumpet. I checked ebay but couldn't find any. Where else should I look?
This should be something that you can probably get made up my a jeweler just as fast as looking for a music site. There ARE places that I see when I go the FLUTE conventions, that make headjoint crowns with all kinds of gemstones, etc. some of these people are pretty Woodstocky, and tell you they are *magic* Ok . . . Betcha that there is some guy in a Grateful Dead shirt, with a beard, who has a table at the Trumpet convention, who makes these.
Google for some custom brass shops - and then be prepared to do some calling and emailing. At least they can provide you with some targeted leads. I know where to find weird FLUTE stuff - so brass must be out there.
